Cursed Alien is the fourth book in the Alien Wolf Series by Honey Philips.
In this series, Humans and Vultor share a planet. They are not always on polite terms. The humans are arrogant, scared of anything not human and total prudes, badmouthing the other lesser fortunate humans around them. To the humans, their cultural bias makes them view the Vultor as savages who live with nature in the wilderness. It is only when you realise that both species are not native to the planet that the dawning realisation slowly creeps up on you, that these aliens are also technically advanced.
Cursed Alien is a take on the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast. Bella is the engineering-minded human who goes to rescue her father, who has not returned from his trading trip. Her father has been captured by Malrik, who has been cursed and fiercely protects his land. This curse overtakes males who do not find a mate before a certain, undefined maturity. The curse causes the unmated male to become trapped in a beast form.
Cursed Alien is an interesting take on the fairytale, and the transformation of Marick from beast to romantic interest is compelling.
